xboxisotool-readme.txt: XBOXISOTOOLKIT - XBox ISO Extractor/Rebuilder --------------------------------------------- Coded in 2002 by TOSHi of HTTP://WWW.THENEWXBOXSIDE.DE Note on Release 1.1: -------------------- There is still a known problem for the ISO's of "SSX Tricky" and  4;Halo" but we are releasing Version 1.1 to gather more feedback from users on the ISO& #39;s that were non-working with Version 1.1. Foreword: --------- This tool has been written as a substitute to the copyright-licensed "gdfima ge" Tool by Microsoft which can be found in the XBox Development Kit (XDK). It features a XBox ISO Extractor and a XBox ISO Rebuilder. Both f unctions have totally been coded from the scratch and the tool therefore contains no Microsoft copyrighted code. This tool is only for personal use and you are only allowed to spread it in unmodified form (including it in other Tool-Packages or any other form is prohibited). Usage: ------ Just open up the tool and you're confronted first with the disclaimer and th en with the GUI. Dependent on the function you want to use, use either the "XBo x ISO Extractor" or "XBox ISO Builder" Sections. 1. XBox ISO Extractor: ---------------------- Source ISO File = This is the ISO File you want to extract all the files f rom. (you should use the "BROWSE" button to choose the fil e) Target Directory = This is the directory all the files included in the ISO will be unpacked into. After choosing the desired file and directory just click the big "Extra ct ISO to Target Directory" button and the work will progress. In the "Status:" ; section you can check the whole procedure. 2. XBox ISO Builder: -------------------- Content Root Directory = This is the root directory that should be used for creation of the ISO-File (if repackaging already extracted files use the sa me directory that you used as "Target Directory") Target ISO File = This is the ISO file that will be created. (If you choose a file that already exists it will we overwritten) After choosing the Root-directory and ISO-File just click the big "Build ISO from Content Root Directory" button and the tool will start to build the ISO .
